Freelance Digital Project Manager at Unfold (Fully remote / Part-time)

Unfold is a UX and technology studio that builds software, web apps and websites. We believe businesses shouldn’t have to choose between thoughtful user experience and strong technical execution – we bring both together to create digital products that deliver impact.

We’re looking for an experienced digital project manager to join us for an initial 12-week period and take the lead on day-to-day delivery across our studio.

What you’ll be doing

• Running the day-to-day delivery of active projects, ensuring deadlines, milestones and priorities are clear for our team and clients.
• Managing client communication, clarifying decisions, sharing updates and maintaining strong, supportive relationships.
• Spotting risks early and resolving issues quickly, keeping delivery smooth and stress-free for the team.
• Managing project scope, capturing actions and documenting key decisions.
• Maintaining budgets, timelines and requirements, ensuring projects stay on track.
• Managing the broader studio resourcing plan to ensure time is correctly prioritised.

About you

• You have demonstrable experience managing projects – candidates who can show in-depth experience in a web development or digital agency environment will be strongly preferred.
• Exhibit strong commercial know-how with great budget management skills. Ability to effectively report to leadership (internal and client) on the performance of projects.
• You’re proactive and organised, able to give structure to fast-moving work without adding unnecessary process.
• You communicate clearly and confidently, and you’re comfortable being the calm voice in busy moments.
• You build positive relationships with clients and teams, understanding the human side of delivery.

Contract details

• Freelance contract for initial 10-12 week period
• Starting February 2026
• Part-time, roughly three days’ worth of work per week. Hours will ideally be spread across the week to meet operational needs, with the exact schedule discussed at interview to suit both Unfold and the freelancer.
• £275-£350 per day DOE
